1837 Born, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent
  Served his apprenticeship at Thomas Worthington's Brook Street factory in Hanley. 
1865 With James Robinson he purchased the Glebe Street works from the modeller Giovanni Meli.
1870 The partnership also acquired the Wharf Street works.
1899-1900 E J Leadbeater served as Mayor for Stoke upon Trent 
1911 22nd March 1911 he died at Sheppard Street, Stoke. 

 

at the time of the 1881 census (& also when Mayor of Stoke) the family were living at Myrtle Villa, James Street, Stoke.
