Earthenware manufacturer at the Villa Pottery, Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent, England
  • Originally the partnership with Absalom Wood had also included James Rathbone operating as Wood, Rathbone & Co. 

  • Absalom Wood was a descendant of the Moses Wood branch of the Wood family of potters.  

  • In November 1868 Rathbone left and the business became Wood, Son & Co. 

  • The partners of Wood, Son & Co. were Absalom Wood and his son Thomas Francis Wood along with William Dunn and Enoch Colclough. 

  • In October 1877 William Dunn and Enoch Colclough left the business. 

  • In the same year a manufacturing site was purchased in Navigation Road and in 1878/9 the business moved there as New Wharf Pottery Co

Previously: Wood, Rathbone & Co

Subsequently: New Wharf Pottery Co
