  • Previously William Thomas Hulme Smith, Samuel Ford and Frederick Thomas Jones had been in partnership as Smith, Ford & Jones. Jones left the partnership in May 1894 and the business was continued as Smith & Ford.  

  • In June 1898 the partnership was dissolved - Ford continued at the Lincoln Pottery as Samuel Ford & Co. and Smith opened his own business at the Cable Pottery as W T H Smith & Co

Subsequently: Samuel Ford & Co - at the Lincoln Pottery
